About the Author
Born in
Indiana , I grew up on the Dillie farm with my
parents, two brothers and a menagerie of animals. We raised
cows, goats, pigs, horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits, dogs,
cats, and even peacocks! Of course each of these animals
had names and were well loved by us kids! I am a 1980
graduate of Jay County High School and a 1984 graduate of
Ball State University. I earned my BA and MBA in
Elementary Education and I’ve taught for twenty three years
in
Ohio and
Arizona classrooms. I was selected to fly with the
United States Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force
Base in
Dayton , Ohio . The project was called Operation
Galileo and I wrote and implemented Science and Math
experiments for students using cargo jets. I live with my
family in
Ohio . My husband Todd and I just celebrated our 27th
wedding anniversary. We also have three children, Anitra,
Leigha, and Marcus. My conversation with my four year old
son, Marcus during his first airplane flight, gave me the
inspiration for my book, The Day Marcus Flew.
"The Day
Marcus Flew will wonderfully have your head high up in the
clouds while keeping the all-important message of God's love
firmly rooted on the ground"

“I witnessed Dianna speaking to a group that ranged from
2-100 years old. Everyone enjoyed the stories she
shared, especially her personal encounter with the
butterfly. She is a delight and her writing style
reflects her grace and wisdom."
